Imagine that your county’s only health clinic is 60 miles away – on a road that is impassable four months of the year during the rainy season. The lack of trained health professionals and too few medical facilities, combined with inadequate food, poor access to clean water and lack of money for medicine, cause thousands of needless deaths each year.

$5000     Training for midwives to reduce the infant mortality rate by 800% in 2 villages in India

The dollar amounts listed for items associated with each Gift Square represent the cost of providing the items and/or support services or training. Each gift you make is symbolic and represents a contribution to the entire mission of LWR, to be used where needed most.
