Impoverished parents are forced to make the agonizing decision to send children off to work, or put them to work at home, to earn money for food and other necessities. Illiterate adults often are caught in a cycle that’s hard to break. Unable to calculate the price of seeds for their fields or read proficiently, they struggle to find a job or operate a small business to support their families. |
